Why is there Braille on most drive-up ATM machines?

Probably because the standard design of ATM machines has Braille on it, and no one bothered to redesign out the redundancy when the machine is placed in a drive through. It’s a lot easier to buy 7 identical machines rather than 5 walk-up and 2 drive-in units which are essentially the same.
