Why is there an age limit for some volunteer roles?
Adult volunteer Leaders, Assistant Leaders, Unit Helpers and holders of some other voluntary management roles must be aged between 18 and 65. Girlguiding UK recognises that many women are perfectly able to volunteer for these roles beyond the age of 65. However, there are others who are less capable of doing so, which is why we ask those over 65 to contribute in other ways.
