Why is there an additional fee for auctions with a Buy It Now price? Why doesn the additional fee apply to Fixed Price listings?
A feature fee of C$0.05 on Canadian dollar listings or US$0.05 on US dollar listings applies for all auction-style listings that include a Buy It Now price. Like other optional features for which we charge, Buy It Now provides added promotion with the addition of the Buy It Now icon. Also, new changes to the browse and search results pages will provide added visibility to auction-style listings that include the Buy It Now feature. These items will appear with both the bid price and the Buy It Now price on the -All Items- display, and will appear within all the browse and search results views: All Items, Auctions, and Buy It Now. In contrast, Fixed Price listings will appear with a Buy It Now price on the Browse and Search results pages, but without a bid price since there is no bidding on these types of items. Fixed Price listings will only be displayed within the “All Items” and “Buy It Now” views, but not in the “Auctions” view since there is no bidding on these types of items. There
