Why is there additional security at NTID?
In recent months computer thefts occurred at NTID. The stolen computers contained confidential personal information, such as names, Social Security Numbers, and birthdates. As a result of this confidential information, our college and the Institute was required to make various notifications. Our primary concern is for the potential exposure to financial hardship of those whose information was stolen. A secondary, but also a critical concern, was for the distress it caused to our college and to the entire Institute. The good will we have worked so hard for so many years to create is threatened among the entire spectrum of audiences with which we work.
