Why is there a TFC Contingency Fund?
The game incurs expenses, such as charges to upgrade hardware, connectivity charges, and advertising expenses. The server that “The Final Challenge” runs upon may fail or be decommisioned. Or, FastQ’s management may withdraw their support for the game. Any number of other expenses may arise that require funds to keep TFC operating. What is the money used for? A contribution to the “TFC Contingency Fund” could mean the difference between TFC recovering from a problem that requires a financial solution, and TFC vanishing, perhaps forever. The developers earn no salary or other financial or material compensation from the game. That is not what this money is for. Rather, it is a pool of readily-available money for use when the need arises, or to cover game expenses and expansion. Why should I donate?
