Why is there a program only for GLBTQ-identified people and not all oppressed groups?

No discrimination should be found in any community; however equity issues are very prevalent in our society and on our campus. One of the groups most affected by discrimination today is the GLBTQ community. This oppression is most often not visible as all people in this community are not necessarily out. This program recognizes the need to have equality for all people, however it highlights the distinct needs of the GLBTQ community. Human rights training programs are offered by Equity Services that covers all marginalized groups.
