Why is there a need to provide counselling services for personnel?
Because everything is interrelated. What goes on in as employee’s personal life affects what is going on in their work life in terms of performance, proficiency, efficiency, stability, productivity etc. A physically and mentally healthy employee, makes for a healthy organization. No matter what anyone says, you cannot separate the two. Sometimes employees need that help in reaching an appropriate and healthy state of mind. This is not the only counseling that occurs within the organization. There is employee development counseling, financial counseling, educational counseling, and much more. Still, everything is interrelated. Organizations that wish to remain competitive, stable, and concerned about long-term survivability, must consider the development of their employees. Counseling plays a major role in this effort.
