This input is an optional solution if the TV has no other output connectors available. In these cases, the microphone can pick up the sound from the speakers. The microphone is an accessory that must be purchased separately and may not give a good sound quality. Please note: If both a microphone and a TV cord are connected to the TV adapter at the same time, the TV adapter will transmit sound from the microphone.
