Why is there a fine line between genius and insanity/mental illnesses?

Even though a genius is considered to be anyone with an IQ of 145 and above, this alone probably won’t be enough to come up with new genial creations, discoveries, theories, and concepts. If a group of well educated people put their ideas together they can achieve more in almost all cases. But with many illnesses, there’s actually strengths that are unusual. Get someone with asbergers and you’ll find their ability to hyperfocus and organise their thoughts to be amazing. Their abilty to remember things is unbelievable too. Someone with bipolar disorder becomes super creative and they can put tremendous energy towards their ideas. Someone with ADHD can be similar to this but not perhaps to the same level but I have seen someone concentrate intently for 36 hours straight without becoming tired until it was all over. It’s when people have both, the genial ideas come out.
