Why is there a delay between the announcement of drilling and the time that the drill results are announced?
Once a drill hole is completed the core is shipped to a secure location where it is logged by a geologist. The core is then split. Half of the core is then loaded into sample bags and shipped to a laboratory for assaying. The assays are then reviewed by the project geologist. A certain percentage of the assays are sent for check assaying at another laboratory. It is important that the methodology of the sample procedure is adhered to and not rushed.
