Why is there a charge to watch Celtic games broadcast at the Parlour?
Celtic games broadcast at the Parlour are purchased by the NYCSC from the Setanta Broadcasting Network. The NYCSC has to recover the cost of such games and attempts to do so via the door fees. The door fee collectors on duty at matches are volunteers and are trained in the art of directing Supporters objecting to said fees back to bars in Motherwell and Coatbridge that may in fact already be showing a match broadcast free of charge. The Parlour maintains an up to date Concorde schedule for those fans who wish to avoid door fees and prefer to purchase a $10,800 round trip ticket via Heathrow (not including Shuttle from London to Glasgow and transfer via Joe’s Cabs to and from Motherwell/Coatbridge) to watch the match in the Railway Tavern. The Railway Tavern in turn has a wide selection of pickled onions, eggs and Lanliq chasers for fans who wish to partake of this offer.
