Why is there a 4 hour wait time before using water treated with MP1 tablets?
The reason why is to protect the consumers. EPA requires the product instructions to have a 4 hour wait time. This is ensure purification even in the most challenging conditions. The 4 hour wait time may be inconvenient, alternative water disinfectants do not claim to remove cryptosporidium or viruses that may be in natural water supplies.
