Ohio Ed power outage rescheduled for today Impacts LaRue, New Bloomington, Marseilles and others MARION STAR STAFF REPORT • AUGUST 14, 2009 MARION – A planned outage scheduled by Ohio Edison Co. has been rescheduled this morning, said Kirk Gardner, Marion area manager for the company. Originally set to occur Thursday afternoon, a work schedule conflict prompted Ohio Edison to reschedule the outage for 8 to 11 a.m. today. The outage was planned so the company can replace a transformer that became overloaded in the 400 block of South Main Street, Gardner said, describing the procedure as standard maintenance.Ohio Edison notified the approximately 30 customers on South Main, South Prospect and Hill streets that will be affected by the outage, he said.
