Why is the YMCA renovating its Schroeder Branch?
A. The Schroeder YMCA Branch Board, in close consultation with the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee Association, has been engaged in a long-range planning process to address branch operational and fiscal issues. As a part of that process, an Asset Alignment Committee devoted several months to examining the current site and determined that there is significant deferred maintenance that, if unaddressed, could pose long-term threats to the ability to continue to serve members’ needs.
