Why is the word ‘loan’ appearing in my payslip’s deductions box?

0

The word ’loan’ may appear in your payslip’s deductions box if you have previously received an overpayment from Queensland Health. The overpayment will be listed in the fortnight in which it was processed and will read ‘Loan $(G1 Net)’. Although this figure appears as a negative amount on your payslip, it should not be deducted from your salary until a repayment schedule is agreed. The amount appears as a negative in the deductions box to show that it has been manually stopped from being removed from your pay. You will, however, be required to repay the amount at some point in the future and Queensland Health will contact you to arrange a repayment schedule once the payroll system is stabilised.
