You may find that the pool is perfectly healthy, but still have this color to it. One of the main reasons for a greenish-blue pool is copper in the water. When copper is dissolved in a liquid, it is a greenish-blue. The concentration will depend on the richness of the color. This doesn’t mean you will get green hair when swimming in the water though. If the dissolved solids concentration is below a certain level, then the copper won’t “break” out of the water to stain clothing/skin/hair. It’s a delicate balance not to get too many chemicals into water that has a high copper content, or you will “break” it out of the water and allow it to drop.
