Why is the University of Cincinnati ranked so low and disrespected by most Collegee Fans?
I understand what you’re saying but the answer to your question is because it is Cincinnati. They haven’t been good long enough to earn respect among the pollsters. It doesn’t help that their “signature wins” are against teams that are also lacking a certain amount of respect. The bottom line is that a team has to be consistently successful. Boise State and Utah have both been relevant for a while now and each school as a BCS win. That gives the school a certain amount of credibility that Cincinnati lacks. Ball State is a mystery to me because they aren’t very good compared to other schools but I guess winning all of your games is enough to garner some respect. Precious few schools can say they’ve won ’em all. I feel sorry for the Bearcats. Their coach has done an outstanding job considering the QB situation and his team is in place to win a conference championship and for the most part nobody cares.
