Why is the television show Glee so popular?
I think that high school drama-type storylines have an appeal not only for teenagers today, but adults. Every person has been in similar situations at one point in time during his or her life.
The storylines in "Glee" are also amplified by music, sung by the show’s stars. The music choices are relevant to multiple generations, helping the show attract different demographics of viewers.
Plus, when a show is getting buzz like "Glee" is getting buzz everywhere, some people just want to join the party, so to speak. Many people tune in simply to see what everyone is talking about.
