Why is the Shercom Curb only 3 feet long?

0

The curb was designed this way for 3 reasons: 1. Since two are required per stall, the 3 foot curbs create a natural walkway between them allowing easy passage for pedestrians, wheelchairs, shopping carts and strollers. This is not the case with an 8′ curb. 2. The smaller curb is lightweight thus the purchase price is kept to a minimum. 3. Due to their lightweight one person can easily install them, and money is saved on the labor and equipment rental for installation.
