Why is the separation between energy production and energy networks so important?
It is very important to separate energy networks from energy production and supply. The energy transmission network, the high voltage or high pressure main network lines, should work like highways, permitting all travellers to pass. It is usually too expensive to build parallel networks. All energy suppliers, including new companies and small companies, should have access to the network and access to markets, in the same conditions as the current market players.
