Why is the Secretariat conducting a pilot project?

0

The Secretariat’s policy centre is conducting a pilot to assess the impact of policy compliance on departmental management and governance frameworks and to ensure that the policy objectives are being achieved. Four departments have been identified to participate in the pilot. The pilot will generate lessons learned and validate the transition approach before the policies are rolled out to the rest of government. Participating pilot departments will share best practices and lessons learned. They will enable a comprehensive trial of the policies and their supporting instruments to ensure that any key issues have been identified and addressed and the necessary supporting instruments are in place.
