Why is the Sci-fi channel so dumb?
Not really sure other then at the time in 2001 SCI-FI Channel was under the control of Barry Diller , who also owned USA, and then in 2002 he turned around and sold it to Vivaldi Universal. At the time there was allot of changes going on, so who knows what was going on. I had also read that Dill er never was all that interested in developing shows just the value of selling the station along with USA. (This weeks Newsweek was source on Barry Diller and his view of network). In 2004 Syfy channel was under the control of NBC Universal. So the station of today is not the same as back in 2001 and has changed around a bit in fact for a while NBC even tinkered with a night of no SCI-FI using it as an outlet for their Law Order Franchise. Battle Star Galactica ,BSG, was one of finest shows on TV with exception of LOST much better then majority of network shows. No longer the childish Space Opera of my childhood this re-imagination was an Intelligent series with out standing acting led by Edwar
