A tremendous amount of foresight and planning went into the safety ring. There are numerous reasons for the size of the safety ring. However, for sake of brevity we will quickly address only a handful of these important reasons – Indexing, Gross Motor Skills, utility carry and operation. Indexing is the ability to find something quickly. For example when driving a car how important is it to find the gas and brake pedals with your feet on the floor – “indexing” the floor controls – when you really need them?
