Because we expect a pretty big crowd. We would have to begin the weigh-in / registration process very early on Saturday morning. Too darn early for most normal folks. The added benefit is that folks can be appropriately hydrated on the day of the contest, not having to fear not making their weight. So, put Friday Oct 31st (5:00pm) in your agenda. Don’t forget the mandatory 8:30pm competitor’s meeting. Why do you ask for a picture? We will produce a high quality souvenir Event Program. This is like the kind of program you get at the opera (2006 Event Program). We will have an “Athletes” section in the program where we put your mug shot and a brief profile of you. This helps the audience know who is who on stage. In addition, the Event Program is something that you may want to put in your scrap-book as a souvenir.
