Recommendation shelf will only become visible if you have rated any book/movie/music/game or software in your library or added book/movie/music/games and software to the wish list. All items in the wish list are assumed to have 5 star rating. Normally the recommendation algorithm requires a day to analyze your preference and provide suggestions. So if you have rated your items or added items to wish list before 2:00 AM CST, chances are that your recommendations will be generated the following day.
