Why is the process different for selecting peer markets vs. custom markets in Mercer PayMonitor?
The process for creating peer markets is different from creating custom markets to add another level of data security. This feature is only available to survey participants. In creating a peer cut, you select organisations by name. So, in order to protect confidentiality, a peer cut request is sent to Mercer for approval. We add the approval step to make sure that confidentiality is not being breached. Note: additional fees for peer cuts may be applicable for some surveys. For custom cuts, on the other hand, you are selecting organisations based on scope measures such as revenue, location, industry, etc. Mercer has incorporated the highest levels of automated security for data confidentiality into Mercer PayMonitor. Statistics will not be displayed unless the minimum requirements (for example, in many surveys, five organisations reporting at least 10 cases for a variable) are met. So, in Mercer PayMonitor, you are able to create as many custom cuts as you like on-the-fly and for no add
