Why is the outgoing text-messaging on my cell phone suddenly defaulting to what looks like hexagonal mode?
Your phone is in a predictive text mode called “T9”. To turn it off: in the texting mode, hit “Options”, select “Dictionary off”. Actually T9 is pretty handy. Try it for a while. Use the + key to cycle through the list of possible words for the key combination you have done. The only draw back is that you need to be a reasonably good speller, or you can add your bad spelling to the dictionary!
