Why is the Observe button disabled?
This may be for two reasons. First, if you select a body that has not yet risen above the horizon, or never rises above the horizon, the button is disabled because it is not possible to take a sight on that body. Secondly, if your computer is set to use a character other than “.” for the decimal point, such as the “,” used in many European countries, you need to change the settings to use “.”. To do this (in Vista), go to Control Panel, Regional and Language Options. Click on Customise this format, then under the Numbers tab change the Decimal symbol to “.”. Now restart WinAstro.
