A. This EPICS group is working to hasten the replacement of common incandescent traffic signal lights with high-brightness light emitting diode (LED) technology. We endeavor to educate authorities across the State of Indiana about the significant benefits this technology provides in energy and maintenance savings, pollution reduction and enhanced safety. Our overall goal is to promote and realize the benefits engineering can provide to society through outreach activities aimed at accelerating the adoption of this technology statewide.
