Why is the Northern busy season in the middle of winter?
There is a lot of swampy ground (muskeg) in Northern BC that makes driving to/from and maintaining worksites very difficult or even impossible when the ground is not frozen. During the summer there is some drying that allows work to progress in limited areas. As you can see, nature plays a big part in deciding when a season starts, and how long it will last!
