Why is the New York Giants stadium in New Jersey?

0

The Giants originally played in NYC. When they 1st moved to New Jersey they did actually de-emphasize the NY part of their name by removing it from their helmet and replacing it with “GIANTS”. As the trends changed towards retro they did go back to their traditional uniform. Many teams’ stadiums are not actually in the city proper, which they represent. ( ie, Dallas’ stadium is/was in Irving TX) Basically what would you rather call your team The New Jersey Giants or the New York Giants. Also it could be said that the Giants’ stadium falls within what would be called the greater New York City metropolitan area.
