Why is the movie called the 11th hour?
it was a term coined in biblical times representing a point in time which is nearly too late; the last minute, with the assumption that once the clock strikes midnight, the event will occur. This apparant event always has a dire and significant meaning, be it the end of someones life, or the end of many lives. It gained a lot of poularity as a buzzword in the 1950’s when the Soviet Union developed high yield nuclear warheads, thus placing the entire world in its *11th Hour* based on the fact we were so close to complete annihilation. Since then, any large scale catastrophe like global warming for example has used the buzz word to illicit a sense of urgency. Basically, we’re in the 11th hour of having a planet, and if we don’t change our ways, the clock strikes midnight and it will be too late for us as humans to do anything.
