Why is the Monroe Doctrine important today?)?
Well if the Monroe doctrine never existed then european countries would have settled in south america and they would have most like expanded to other areas and they would have become very big and VERY powerfull and they would have basically.. and i know it sound funny but they would have pretty much taken over the world. It also showed other countries that we were not as weak as we appeared so they did not take advantage of us I really do hope this helps….
