Why is the money allocated to multiple agencies (CWSRF, DWSRF, Dept of Agriculture, etc.) when they are all trying to improve existing water infrastructure?
The various agencies that received stimulus money have different missions to carry out. For example, the Department of Agriculture is focused on improving water infrastructure in communities with populations of less than 10,000. As a result of that funding decision, the SRF funding system can focus on executing their similar mission in larger communities.
