Amazing Diversity Demands Diverse DoctorsMinnesota is amazingly culturally and ethnically diverse. American Indians, African Americans, Latinos, Asian and African immigrants provide vibrant energy. Rural families are a statewide asset.Unfortunately, current doctors do not reflect the minority and rural core of Minnesota. Our state simply needs more doctors who reflect the diversity of Minnesota.Data show that doctors from underrepresented cultural and ethnic groups and rural doctors tend to serve families that have no health insurance and limited access to solid health care.
