Why is the Milwaukee Art Museum doing another exhibition on Brooks Stevens now?

In 1997, the Museum accepted a gift of papers, photos, and other artifacts related to Stevens’ career from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and the Stevens family. This body of material gives us the opportunity to produce the definitive retrospective on Brooks Stevens’ work. The show is also a wonderful pairing with the architecture of the Quadracci Pavilion, designed by Santiago Calatrava. If Stevens had lived to see the building, he would have loved the idea of showing his designs inside.
