Why is the Maxine Inspector GUI so large and awkward?
During the intial development of the inspector, no one on the team had much GUI or Swing experience and so an expedient decision was made to use the default Java Look & Feel to minimize the effort required in getting the tool to work on each of the supported platforms. In time, we hope to overhaul the complete GUI but this is not as a high priority as our other goals.
