Why is the kneading paddle hard to turn ?
How to lubricate your bread machine’s pan shaft & bearing. Before installing a new or used belt I highly recommend you perform the following services: Service 1: Lubing the Paddle Shaft Lube the backside of the kneading paddle mounting shaft with liquid graphite lock lubricant. NAPA Lock-Ease Graphited Lock Fluid (item 765-1382) can be found at your local NAPA Auto Parts stores. You can also purchase it online. But be sure to shake it well before each application. With your bread pan upside-down, liberally apply the lube to the shaft’s bowtie, allowing the lube to flow up and over the bowtie and down into the shaft assembly underneath it. Repeat application 3 more times, 15 minutes apart, rotating the shaft once before each subsequent application. Note: Leave the bread pan turned upside-down during the entire process to allow the liquid lubricant time to penatrate.
