Why is the internal MPEG encoder so slow ?
A. This question is no longer relevant for nowadays computers (as of 2.4GHz processors) but you still can find the internal encoder slower than other third party ones. The picture quality provided by the internal MPEG encoder is pretty good and this requires fast processors. You will get better speed using an external encoder such as Main Concept or Cinemacraft. These are commercial programs and may be too rich for your bank account or you may have problems running/setting them up. Read the Documentation that comes with DVDx for instructions about setting them up and using with the frame-server.
