Why is the Hold Harmless participation rate different than the regular participation rate?
For Hold Harmless, the participation rate is recalculated for districts and campuses that do not meet the AYP participation standard. Students tested on the State-Developed Alternative Assessment (SDAA), the Locally Developed Alternative Assessment (LDAA), or only on the Reading Proficiency Test in English (RPTE) are counted as participants, unless the SDAA or RPTE test answer document is coded to show the student was absent on the day of testing. This section is left blank on the report unless rates are recalculated.
