Why is the Higher Ground music different in concert then whats on the CD?

About two months before Higher Ground was recorded, Suzanne broke her finger while trying to put the dog’s collar on to take it for a walk. (hehehehe) The studio was lined up and the songs were already picked and we didn’t want to cancel anything. We contacted a friend at church and asked if they’d volunteer to play the instrumentation for the first album. He in turn contacted another fellow and together we were able to record the first album. For the first year, these fellows helped perform in concert but because of their enormous talent they went in separate directions. In order to continue performing the Higher Ground music, Suzanne had to rearrange and record the songs into the keyboard. Therefore, that is why what you hear in concert is different then what is actually on the Higher Ground CD. The In Concert album includes some of what was on the Higher Ground album but Suzanne’s keyboard arrangements – the music on this album is pretty much how you would hear it played in concert.
