Why is the HACC Foundation conducting a gifts campaign?
Because the region now faces important challenges and opportunities that Harrisburg Area Community College is best positioned to address. The need for a skilled workforce has been cited by community leaders as critical to the region’s economic development. Our citizens are not attending college at a rate that can generate and sustain regional prosperity. Therefore, HACC and the Foundation are moving forward with a gifts campaign to help the region resolve its challenges and capitalize on its opportunities. This Campaign will offer the opportunity to invest in the future for our region by increasing access and opportunity, providing seed money to initiate new workforce programs, and insuring excellence in instructional equipment and technology that will build the workforce of today and tomorrow.
