Why is the government so keen to put fluoride in our water supply, when its a poison?
Not Fluorine… It is a Fluorine Salt. Won’t have ill-effects on anyone. It is safe and will benefit the community. People cry about fluorine, but Chlorine, also a poison, has been in our water supplies for ages. No one complains about it o.0. Fluoride occurs naturally in water as it is, so basically governments aren’t adding a foreign substance, but altering it to make it at the optimal level. The only proven side effect of Water fluoridation is Dental Fluorosis, mottled teeth, which does not affect the general health of a person, only the cosmetic looks of our teeth. Dental Fluorosis is also reversible through simple cleaning, making it less expensive then fixing cavities (by many hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars). Don’t beleive the first poster, he/she would have read opinionistic websites and articles. So, water fluoridation is good not bad.
