Why is the first woman to fly in space important?
Is this supposed to be your perspective of why it was important? If this is indeed homework, then I would would to say why I find it important, not why someone else does. So think about why it’s important in your perspective. To me, the first woman in space is important for the same reason the first man in space was important. From our early history on, humans have moved out of caves and explored their surroundings, gaining experience and knowledge from doing so. Often, we’ve known that without knowledge, there are dangers which can harm us. It’s better to strive to know all we can about surviving whether it be on this planet, or what lies beyond. There are also many advantages and benefits from exploring and learning. From a point of view of being a woman, I’m proud that women have gone into space. But it’s not so different than my feeling of pride about men going into space.
