Why is the eruption at Krakatoa more well known than Mount Tambora?

That might be one of the best questions i have heard so far. I can’t tell you why. It isn’t fair to say that Krakatoa affected people more directly than Tambora because Tambora was responsible for the “1816 Year with No Summer.” THe ash and aeresols blocked out a lot of the sunlight which lead to snow in June and July and caused a huge famine. It is very likely that the geologist present for Krakatoa made it more well known. Also, I think the fact that it was the loudest sound ever heard by humans (I think all the way to Australia and further) makes it more interesting. Also, maybe because of all the other effects like tsunamis, but maybe someone should make Tambora more spoken of.
