When we use a ducted outlet it is advisable to use a soft connection. There are 2 reasons for this: – The fan side-plate will be holding the spiral duct and this can effect the balancing of the fan. – Vibrations from the fan can spread from the fan through the ducting, creating problems in other rooms.
