Why is the demo resolution 800×600?
Because we wanted everyone to get the best possible fps in the demo. Upping it to 1024×768 would have caused a significant fps hit with some older graphics cards, and we thought 640×480 was too low. You can change the demo resolution in the Pro version, and the demo is infact designed to be viewed in 1024×768 resolution. That is the resolution we recommend, if you hardware is up to it.
