Why is the Council proposing the Bath Transportation Package?
Bath’s roads are congested, especially main routes into and out of the City Centre during peak times. At present the majority of travel into and out of the City is undertaken using the private car. As new developments take place in the City and surrounding areas, and employment opportunities increase, these problems will only get worse. It is therefore essential that steps are taken to improve public transport options for Bath and the surrounding area.
