Why is the cost of organic and pasture raised meats higher than grocery store meats?
Depending on the species, the costs of raising a pasture raised animal can be significantly higher. Some species such as poultry eat much less grass than a lamb for example. The cost of certified organic grain and small scale management of livestock can be higher than that of an industrial scale produced animal that is grown using a least cost ration. What we offer We will be offering true Halal pasture raised based meats from chickens, turkeys, lamb, goat, and beef. The primary operators of Norwich Meadows Farm are practicing Muslims and the managing owner has studied and worked in agriculture for the majority of his adult life.
