Why is the Corps publishing a FEIS?
A Draft EIS was published in April 2004 and comments on that draft were received. Those comments were used to produce this required Final EIS. To make a permit decision on the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s permit application for filling wetlands as part of the proposed new Route 92, in February of 2000, the Corps determined a complete Federal EIS was needed for this permit application.
